From October 15th through 17th, the Bybee Bros + Dave Dolan enjoyed the Grand Canyon. I will spare you all of the logistical issues that went into the trip (but they included jackasses (no, not the bros) and multiple cars and shuttle vans and flights from 4 different locations to LV) – we clearly established that we are not logistics experts. Anyway, we flew into LV on Wednesday and spent the night at the North Rim. We hiked to the Phantom Ranch area down the North Kaibab trail on Thursday (14m). We camped at the Bright Angel Camp Ground on Thursday and Friday nights and hiked back out on Saturday. On Friday we did a day hike. On Saturday, I went out the North Rim (13.5m) and the bros and Dave went out the South Rim (6.8m). We reconvened in LV on Saturday night and we were out of there on Sunday. For our meals, we had a lovely selection of freeze dried foods and Joe brough a sufficient number of snacks and bourbon to feed an army of hikers – so no shortage of food or alcohol.
