NOTE ON ORDERING FOOD IN ITALY: If the waiter/waitress informs you in their english description of a dish that it is powerful, pungent or strong, it is suggested that you avoid it all together or approach it with extreme caution. We realized this while in Orvieto at a restaurant when dad ended up with possibly the most pungent thing any of us have smelled on his pasta or anywhere else other than perhaps an old moldy abused and misused shoe that had been run hard and put up wet. This is not a joke, to give you an idea, we decided that if someone ate the whole plate of it or even half it on a bet, it would be worth a large sum of money, far in excess of what the dish itself cost to order (seven euro). Needless to say we paid the price of 3 1/2 gelatos for something dad only managed to choke down a few fork fulls of.
